Do you think if the iPad 2G was more mac-like than ipod touch it would be more popular?

A lot of people have been complaining that the iPad is nothing but just an oversized ipod touch. If the second generation of the iPad was shifting more towards the mac design and features if you are not a fan of the ipad would you consider getting the second generation if it was more like a mini mac than big ipod touch?
