Who has the rights to distribute my programming?
I've been doing some video work for a local race track, but my position was recently terminated and merged with another. I have a two year library of races and some people interested in airing them on the web in exchange for advertising revenue, but I'm not sure about the legalities of the situation. Do I have the rights to distribute my programming with them? We never had a written deal; I was paid as an independent contractor and had rights to sell DVD copies, so long as I also provided the track with one. Anyone out there know, and/or have experience with these types of legalities?
