Are Europeans ready for the "change" Obama will bring?

Yes, I think Europe (btw Canada isn't in Europe...) is ready for this 'change'. Obama is seen, in contrast to Bush, as an educated man with a high level of intelligence. If he puts forward logical proposals for greater European participation then I think we'd be much more likely to listen to him rather than Bush's slightly 'trigger-happy' ideas. Of course, that doesn't mean that we'll follow him unless we want to, but I think it's much more likely that dialogue will be opened.
